West Lawn's usual orders
This is bungalow and Georgian country, well kept and tightly packed, and the jobs are what you would expect: garage rebuilds, basement finishing, tuckpointing, dormer additions and the roofing that follows every spring hail. A standard unit in the alley behind the garage is the typical rental, staying four to eight weeks. The commercial strips on Pulaski, 63rd and 59th add storefront buildouts, and the shopping center at 76th and Cicero brings occasional lot-work rentals.
Daley College runs its own construction and event calendar, with units placed through campus facilities. Hale Park and the smaller parks host leagues and family days that use units and handwashing stations near the field house lot, and the parish festivals around 63rd and Kolin bring in a few units near the food tents each summer.
Delivery under the flight path
West Lawn sits under Midway's approach, and the airport shapes traffic more than anything else: Cicero and 63rd fill with airport-bound cars from early morning, so deliveries here are set before that or after nine. The alleys are wide and straight, laid out with the bungalow belt, and the service truck works them without trouble; the usual obstacles are a parked work van or a dumpster for a gut job. Units go on the apron beside the garage or just inside the fence. The parkways on streets like Keeler, Karlov and Komensky are narrow and city-maintained, and a unit out front means a CDOT public-way permit may apply, so the alley wins.
A West Lawn rental, start to finish
Give the cross streets and say alley or yard, and how many people are on the crew. The unit arrives the next business day in the early window, leveled and locked-clean. Weekly service comes on the Southwest Side loop that also covers West Elsdon, Chicago Lawn and Clearing, and the driver pumps, washes and restocks without needing anyone home. Event units are dropped the day before and picked up the next business day. When the plumbing is back on, one message ends the rental and the unit is gone on the next pass.
