The Addison mix: warehouses first, then homes
Addison has one of the densest concentrations of light industry in DuPage County, and most of what we deliver here goes to it. Distribution buildings along Swift Road and Fullerton, the machine shops off Lake Street west of Route 53, and the truck yards near Army Trail and Mill Road order standard units for parking-lot resurfacing, dock rebuilds, roof replacements and the long stretches where a tenant buildout has the water shut off. Many of those sites keep a unit at the yard gate year-round so drivers who cannot enter the building have somewhere to go.
The residential side is smaller but constant: kitchen and basement remodels in the subdivisions off Lombard Road and Addison Road, and outdoor parties that spill from a patio onto the lawn. The park district's fields at Community Park and Centennial Park also generate tournament weekends where a couple of units near the parking lot make a long day easier for visiting teams.
How Addison units are serviced
Addison sits on the western DuPage route with Bensenville, Wood Dale, Elmhurst and Villa Park, so the service truck is in town on a fixed day each week and often twice. Industrial accounts are pumped early, before the docks get busy; residential stops follow. Service means the tank is emptied, the interior is washed down, and toilet paper, hand sanitizer and deodorizer are restocked. Yards with heavy use or crews over ten people move to twice-weekly service, and a sudden jump in headcount, common when a warehouse adds a second shift, can be handled by adding a unit rather than adding visits.
Placement and the village permit desk
On a commercial parcel the unit goes wherever forklift and truck traffic will not clip it, usually against a fence or at the end of a dock wall on solid asphalt. Long-term placements visible from the street sometimes draw a question from the Village of Addison, so for anything staying more than a few weeks it is worth checking with the village building desk before delivery. On residential lots the driveway is the standard spot; Addison's newer subdivisions have no alleys, so a unit at the top of the drive near the garage is both reachable and easy to service.
