Service Days at the Distribution Centers
The warehouses along Railroad Avenue and the tollway frontage run around the clock, and their yard units need a schedule to match. We put Northlake distribution accounts on twice-weekly service, with the driver arriving between the morning outbound push and the afternoon inbound wave. Each visit pumps the tank, restocks supplies, and checks the door and vent; units rotate out for clean replacements every couple of months. Contractors working on dock doors or roof sections at the same sites share the service day.
What Northlake Customers Take
Yard and dock crews take standard units, usually two to four per facility, plus an ADA accessible unit where outside drivers wait. Retail rebuilds along North Avenue take a single unit behind the store. On the residential side, the ranch blocks around Centrella Park and the streets off Wolf Road call for a standard unit during garage rebuilds and basement waterproofing, and a deluxe flushing unit with a handwashing station for backyard parties. The village's summer events at Centrella Park use rows of standard units with handwashing stations.
Grant Park on Lake Street, the smaller of the two village parks, hosts youth soccer and church picnics that book a couple of standard units and a handwashing station on the paved path by the parking lot.
Reaching a Northlake Site
North Avenue moves well outside rush hour, and the warehouses have wide gates. The complication is inside the yard: trailers back in constantly, and a unit placed in the wrong spot gets hit. Our driver sets units against the building near the employee door or at the yard corner the manager points out, never along the dock apron. Residential streets in Northlake have driveways and no alleys, so the unit goes at the top of the driveway inside the property line. Check with the village permit desk if anything must sit closer to the street.
Wolf Road and Lake Street rail crossings occasionally add a few minutes to the run.
